I recently accepted a challenge to write thirty blog posts in thirty days. During the challenge, several of my writer friends wondered what the heck I was up to, why I was doing that. They wonder about that a lot, actually. I'm a constant source of amusement to them, but that's not what this is about. Some of them only use their computer for email and sports scores and they had no idea why I was "wasting my time" on a blog. One or two actually had a blog on one of the free services that they posted to once or twice, then abandoned.
